Benefits Counseling
What is Benefits Counseling?
The Benefits Counseling Program of Franklin County Home Care provides training to volunteers who will then help people over age 60 or persons with disabilities access benefits that help make their homes energy efficient and safe.
Benefits Counselors can also help clients sign up for benefits that save money such as food stamps and fuel assistance.
What do Benefits Counselors do?
- Provide basic information on resources.
- Help with the application process and forms.
- Make referrals to agencies and organizations that may help.
- Educate people on resources.
Who are Benefits Counselors?
They are people from communities in Franklin County & the North Quabbin area who work in their own community & create their own schedules.
