The Money Management Program
Elders
who, for whatever reasons, have difficulty writing checks or managing
basic living expenses may benefit from the Money Management Program.
Two types of services are available: Bill Payer Services and Representative Payee Services.
Bill Payer services provide one-on-one assistance with any or all of the following:
- Writing checks
- Balancing checkbooks
- Sorting bills
- Developing a budget
- Monitoring income and expenses
- Developing a prepayment plan
The elder has complete decision-making power and retains check-signing capabilities.
Representative Payee services are provided if an elder is incapable of handling their own funds.
Trained and bonded volunteers provide services in the Money Management program. Volunteers are always needed.
Please call if you're interested in receiving the help of Money Management or if you'd like to volunteer: 800-732-4636, or 413-773-5555, or 978-544-2259, or TDD 413-772-6566, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
