Transportation Resources By Town
Effective October 1, 2009

Please keep in mind that not every town provides Monday through Friday transport and that sometimes transportation is limited depending on where the consumer resides.  Most Councils on Aging (COA) or providers require a 48 hour notice and an application from the FRTA needs to be completed prior to service being provided.

Demand response covers medical, mealsite and trips for shopping etc.  (Priority is given to medical and nutrition).  A minimum of 48 hours advance notice (not counting weekends or holidays) is needed to schedule transportation.  It is available to elders over 60.  You must be approved for transportation prior to scheduling your trip.  Applications can be picked up at the FRTA or we can mail them directly.

MedRide is for ambulatory elders over 60 that have medical appointments outside of Franklin County.
